Construction Timber
The products and sizes we offer have evolved to meet the demands and specifications of our clients in the industry. This comprehensive range of products combined with the quality, consistency and fast turn-around capable from a large single-site sawmill such as ours has lead to our timber being supplied through our clients to the UK construction industry. Our construction graded timber is available as either a ‘sawn’ section or as ‘Ezee Edge’. Both have their place in the market and offer the buyer a choice. We also produce unseasoned (not kiln dried) ungraded material for general construction applications where a strength grade is not required. Sawn Kiln Dried C16 Graded FSC
Sawn C16 graded section has been the traditional form in which graded carcassing has been supplied to the market and offers the user an economic product which is fit for purpose. We produce Sawn C16 KD material in the following dimensions:

Ezee Edge Kiln Dried C16 Graded FSC
We also offer our C16 material as ‘Ezee Edge’. These are sections which have been machine regularized to dimension and have four eased corners. The benefits of Ezee Edge include:
• Regular Dimension
• Easier to paint/treat/stain
• Bright and clean appearance/presentation
• Easier to handle
• Smaller section sizes but still achieving C16 Grade

Unseasoned Ungraded FSC
There are applications in construction where an unseasoned (not kiln dried) and ungraded product may be acceptable or beneficial. Some of the more popular unseasoned/ungraded we produce include:
Formwork/Shuttering Sections
These sections are used in the fabrication of either temporary or permanent moulds into which concrete or similar materials are poured. These form the frame which holds the shuttering plywood. Standard sizes for formwork are:

75 x 100 x 4.8m
75 x 150 x 4.8m
Purlins
In architecture or structural engineering, purlins are horizontal structural members used in roof construction. Purlins support the loads from the roof deck or sheathing and are supported by the principal rafters and/or the building walls. The use of purlins, as opposed to closely spaced rafters, is common in pre-engineered metal building systems and some timber frame construction. Traditionally there has been a market for these sections in the agricultural buildings market. We offer the following sections in Sawn Unseasoned and Ungraded material for this purpose:
